RELEASE: IT LIVES

So finally! Almost three years of work inside a 1 mb file!

It is recommended that you download the latest unnoficial Eduke32 version before playing, as it fixes a few stuff that will make the map work better:

The map is designed and meant to be played in software mode.
No enhacement mods/hrp packages/fancy engines, as they proved causing more problems than improvements in this map.  :/

In case you can´t stand the good old 8bits classic renderer (your loss), play it in polymost but be sure to put the included autoexec.cfg in your Eduke folder or type r_shadescale 1.14 in the console. This is not my fault, Eduke32´s shading is screwed up and there doesn´t seem to be plans of getting that fixed.

Play it in the night if possible, with headphones or the volume loud.

Eager to read your comments, complaints, bug reports or praises. After so many hours wasted on this, that´s my only reward  -_-

Why not? As long as you´re willing to reupload it if somebody finds a gross bug, im fine.  :)

Man, it's just an amazing map! This lavish, cool mainstream desigh, nice ideas,like locking the player in the water for some time. Maybe this map have bad health ratio, but it don't means anything. I just never played the Duke about 3 month, and I can play worse than I play before.

I see you made quite a few changes since that last demo you sent me. I kinda miss the boat.  :'(

Not really, but I liked entering through the gate better than hopping that wall.

Note: The player can clip through the glass texture on the tractor and get stuck in the cab.

Could of swore that I mentioned it when I was comparing your tractor to the one I made. (yours is still far superior)


...should have hired me on as a beta tester, since I was already semi-familiar with it....you know I find the crazy shit.

The sprites on the "hopper" in front of the hospital are two sided causing clipping issues

Nothing special, i think i "hired" those that popped up at the right moment. There were so many candidates that the release thread would be a waste if everybody got a copy beforehand  :)

Better than thinking about the changes and bragging out to the others that you had an alpha copy, go play it as a new map, some significant changes makes it feel very different than what you played back then.

I apologize if I bragged a little about having an alpha-version

There are so many changes it is almost a new map; so I'll approach it as such

When the player stands in a certain spot, the mini-battlelord cannot hit the player with street sweeper or grenade, and the grenades just stack up without exploding

Yeah, that battlelord has given me lots of troubles because i-dont-know-what. Not to mention he just teleports to nowhere in dukeplus after a few seconds (hence my warning).

I´m glad you are finding lots of bugs to make me feel like an idiot for releasing this map so "early" :P but i´ll ask you, if it´s possilbe, to not post so many screens as they are spoiling the map for those who didn´t play it yet. I encourage you to keep finding things that i should fix in my revision but put the image link instead!  :)

Note: hey I think Sanek is still stuck in that part, playing with his new girlfriend!!  ;D
