WG DM RELEASE
« on: May 05, 2008, 03:22:46 AM »
no link!

Well I have had a few weeks away from duke, :P but last couple days Ive been playing some DM online dukesterX and got some ideas for modifications on one of my DM levels.

So here it is, WGSecretV4, I have been testing it online and making changes as I go, now up to Version 4, has many added cool fake sector over sector effects, allowing for hidden rooms inside large areas where you can snipe people from within. mmmm has many added secrets, but they are good secrets and the level is very even now, health is better placed, and you can easily move from each side of the level very quickly.

If you have played the previous version and liked it, you will love this version.
If you haven't tried, but play DM, then get it.

Some screen shots to show what I mean by hidden rooms inside large areas.
I tried to remove unnecessary detail to make the level faster.

Doing this every now and again helps with mapping SP as I get better Ideas.

Now I will get back to the fantasy mod.

I like DM maps as well as SP. But due to EDuke32 having the Fake MP code broken, I have to load it from the old DOS code. That sucks. :P

Still, a very good map, and hope to see future releases.

Nice looking map judging by the screens, Will. I'll take a look at this soon and put it up on the site.

This is a really fun DM map, but at least 3 players are needed to have some real fun with it I think.

I played this one with Merlijn. I had fun with squising him outside mwuahaha >:D
Maybe you could make a bit smaller version for only 2 players?

Anyway nice work, didn't played DM for ages again heh. Why didn't you post this on AMC tho?

/\ Did u play V5 ? I think V5 works well with 2 player, at least I have had a few games of it with 2 player and was good. :)
But you are rite, 3 player is the best, or more. :)

Thank for the comments.
