I thoroughly enjoyed this great map.
I'm fond of large levels with a lot of combats.

The lighting/shading is awesome.
The layout is very well done.

Architecture is top notch. ( jagged mountain surroundings does the trick, doesn't it?)
Ambient sounds and effects lift the map upwards.

Only con imo is the ammo ratio. I actually had to cheat (shame on me).

The author has spent some eleven months on this level and the result is splendid. ( this one was for those who rush out maps every week or so. Read and learn. Play and learn).

@ck3D: No worries, I reckoned you were busy so I decided just to release it instead.

@Puritan: Aw, that's a bad thing if you had to cheat. I wanted to have a scarce supply on ammo in this map, making it a fairly realistic experience in the sense that you'd find ammo mostly in crates/shelves and from dead enemies. Did you find any of the secrets? They are quite rewarding and greatly helps on the harder difficulties.

Hey, I missed this map when it was released.  I'm going to play it today, along with other recent releases.

Could you explain what has been modified in the cons, and why they are needed?

Sorry, I didn't find very much secrets.

I was in a hurry to check out the map and take screenshots for a quick upload.
Thought the community would appreciate a map to put their sticky fingers on right away!  ;D

Fixed the CONs so that BOSS3 works as a mini-boss, I followed this tutorial to get it to work correctly.

We could play it with Dukeplus instead? or that will mess the gameplay?

In that case then your map will work fine with DukePlus or Attrition (or any other mod that already has the minibosses feature).

I started playing and managed to get myself stuck already.

I found my way to the Improbable Missions Facility.  I went under water to the security room and opened the door.  I got inside the facility, found a secret freezer, and now I don't know how to proceed.  Looking for cracks, buttons, etc. and finding nothing.

Don't know, haven't tried it myself.

Did you try going through the main entrance and not the collapsed tunnel? The button inside the security room just outside the facility will open the door, as shown here:

Took me a little over half an hour, but I played it all the way through. First of all, lemme say that this is probably the best high-tech map I've seen in a long time, and really the sort of thing I aspire to. There's variety between the canyon area and the base, design is innovative and texturing/trimwork is excellent. I really can't find a fault with how this map looks, but how it plays is a slightly different story.
*SPOILER*
Overall, the gameplay is nice, though ammo does have serious constraints. I didn't have to cheat to get through (this was on Let's Rock, mind you) though there were several fights I had to deliberately skip because I simply didn't have the ammo. The big underwater infected zone was one of them, though I couldn't find any reason to go down there in the first place. I nearly had to run from the battle lord in the warehouse area as well, though I managed to find an RPG stashed in one of those metal crates. The pickup sprite for it, however, clips with the sprites of the crate (even after you've busted it open) so the first time I went through, I didn't think there was anything inside. There were a few other instances where I'd get a random explosion in the face, which was a tad more aggravating than anything else, but overall I had fun. Look forward to seeing what else you can cook up.

Eh, I'm not sure how it happened, but I thought I had already pressed the button.  The sprite was in the on position and I remember hitting it.  Strange.  So I went back in, turned the switch off and the door opened.  Thanks.

Thanks for taking your time. So yeah, ammo constraints seems to be a major issue, or at least the biggest issue? If more people agree with this I can go back and balance it more.

There's no actual reason to go down there but I'd recommend it since you can find a RPG with ammo and an atomic health if you go down the whole road (not counting the gap in the ceiling containing the dead lizman with the ripper). However, if you try and ignore the protector drones (they're sleeping as long as you don't hurt them) you can go through without wasting too much ammo except on slimers and octabrains.
