Duke Nukem: Return of the King
« on: March 02, 2008, 06:19:48 PM »
For a looonnggg time, I've been working on a mod. If you remember I did a bunch of art for Hendricks266 for H266Mod, most of the work that went into that would later be used in my ActionDuke mod.

Unfortunately things on his side have arisen, and I dont know if its ever going to get finished unless I work with someone else.

I used to be able to code somewhat well in 1.5 coding, but as we all know, it is now obsolete.

I've needed a coder for quite sometime. If you, or anyone you know thinks they could be up for this, leave me a message. I'd really appreciate it since Ive done quite a bunch of artworks that I personally cannot code.

The original idea is to include a great majority of the Duke Nukem Universe into this mod, all in original 8bit (no hires). So, if you remember the BMF from Zero Hour, or the Feral Pig from Time To Kill/Land of the Babes, I want to include those type of things. Ive got the means and ability to make all this happen artwise, but without a coder, I lack motivation. All this art could go to waste.

If you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours, any artwork can be included in your mod if you want too.

I can post some stuff if people need "evidence".

I don't need "hard evidence" and I have no time to work with you but I like to see some examples of what you have made so far...

Alrighty.  :P

I ask that no-one "takes" these.

The first enemy is about 50% finished, tile wise.
The shotgun is 100% done.
The last guy is also 100% done.

I love that enemy.  I want to fight him right now.  I wish I had more time to help with coding, but unfortunately I have my hands full with real life and the other Duke projects that I'm already committed to.  However, if you ever need help, feel free to post some code that isn't working and I will show how to fix it.

Thanks, I appreciate it.
That enemy IS really cool. And you cant see it in that frame, but he also has a jetpack.

Talk about overkill.

Heres a tile that had always been "included" in mods, but the mod was never released, and it never saw the light of day. So I did it.

I don't understand.  It looks like someone striped his pants with black spray paint.  And why the hell doesn't this forum have a smiley with a confused look or with a question mark over it or something?

So, what's the progress Captain?
Can't you see I'm easily bothered by persistence
One step from lashing out at you...
You want in to get under my skin
And call yourself a friend
I've got more friends like you
What do I do?

Right now, Im still just shooting around ideas. Im taking a short break here before Exams, and wont work unless I feel like it. Summer should usher in a plethora of new bits.

Ive done quite a few weapon conversions as of late, heres an edit I did of the PYP2000 shotgun. Its a little better than the original, but there is little I personally could do with it.

Ive got all the dynamite arts and the lighter from Blood converted (very well), the grenade launcher and heart from Shadow Warrior are also converted (also very well, and I removed the arm bracelet thing).

Been working on a Biker Pig as well.

Ive actually got plans that you only see the pigs in chase maps. When you also have a bike.

Its a composition of the original pig and the biker from Redneck Rampage, with a lot of editing.
