Can't you see I'm easily bothered by persistence
One step from lashing out at you...
You want in to get under my skin
And call yourself a friend
I've got more friends like you
What do I do?

The map wasnt that good, especially from a design standpoint. It was kind of fun though.

I'll agree, the details were very old school, its just I expect better design in this day and age. My main qualm, was the guy used "3DSprite" effects when he didnt need to.

^ I don't remember you, did you register under a different name or was it before my time?  :)

(I'm not that old you know...)

Actually I was still a noob when DNR was shut down, but it was my #1 source for maps. In other words... I did not register at the forums, and my "Duking" was "After" your time.

I haven't heard from or seen Fernando for a month or so, but I saw he registered on the forum yesterday. It's my reckoning that he has indeed found himself a lovely lady - what else could keep the man away from Duke? ;D

Haha yes, the month old fruit. It's well and truly rotten now. I'll have to see to putting that page back up some time.

What about the glossary? That page was hillarious. ;D

I still have an older copy, its on paper though, so I would have to type it up if you wanted it, but did not have it.

I'm not absent from Duke activity. I was in holiday, but without internet connection.

I've still got the old HTML version, and it will make it back online eventually - it's just that each word on it was linked to by various articles on the old site, a lot of which I haven't found time to bring back online.

Actually, if you look at http://duke3d.bur.st/shareware.php and click on 'Apogee' you'll be in for a surprise.

When will you guys finish the map restoration? As I saw it was stopped around the letter R author name.

Well, I knew these forums were up for awhile, but I refused to register until Kim pays me my 'month old fruit' from the previous forum!! Thanks for reminding me Puritan!! ;D Oh well, I'm just glad the 'Stomping Grounds' are up and running again and that the Duke community hasn't gone on life support yet!! ;) Granted, there are alot of games out there now that are more 'graphically appealing,' but none have the personality of Duke!!
