He showed up once a few months back to change his name a couple of times and post something about the HL2(?) project that's remaking Duke3D.

not gaming sites (as I've stated before Duke is the only video game I still happen to play, so I don't go to other gaming forums besides this one and AMC), think more along the lines of professional sites on which my old user name on here somehow caught on (seeing as I also used to use it over there), and it wouldn't be very serious if looking it up on google directly led to my account on this site

all jokes aside, you would be surprised to see how serious the industry I work in can get once you get to experience it - it's just like any other establishment with a lot of people being (overly) serious about everything, and enormous importance granted to the marketing side of things in every company. Judging on the unlikeliness of this site to show up in search engines it might come off as a little paranoid, but I don't want to take any risk, for my old screen name is more recognizable than you might think

Do some kick ass Duke3D custom graphics on your stick, then they can't say anything

Since this forums run on a pretty outdated software we can see that bots is rolling in as flies on horse manure.
There is no way I can do anything about software used.

Besides that, my DNR mail doesn't work anymore.

Banning bots one by one isn't enough.
So, these days I've started to ban range of IP's and / or hosts where spam bots is present in a massive way.

This will have a cost unfortunately; Legal members might get banned.

The only way to lift this ban is to  find a legal member  and ask them if they would PM me here.

I'm sorry for this inconvenience that may hit some of you.

The forum on this site is outdated and obsolete. there's no way to keep it from being over run with bots. I'm sure Kim is going to let this place expire when the lease for the domain is up,  that's why Puritan opened his own site:
