Minor update today:

Remeber where the two aliens killed the third one in order to have the acidic blood spilled on the floor??

And some work in progress around the cargobay area:

Looks quite lovely; I adore the convoluted not-quite-tubular angles of the walls and the many many variations of brown and grey. Looking forward to this one! I've always enjoyed your maps. Nosotromo was the map that inspired me to start mapping again a few years ago.

Thanks man  ;)

I finally got some time this easter to dust off Mapster.
It's scary how fast I forgot things. Really easy build tricks suddenly became overwelming.
I had to look up a couple of things in the FAQ's.. :P

I also confuses some Mapster keys and combos with the Hammer editor and visa versa.

This map is about 700 sectors now and growing.
Hoping to release it within a month or two..

Note: w.i.p. very little sprites, lighting/shading etc at this stage.

A snapshot from the dining area:

( Yeah, I'm aware of misaligned textures etc...  :P)

I'm almost done with the main ship. Next project would be the underwater scenery.
Man, I'm looking forward to build that particular sequence from the movie!  ;D

Heh..thanks, mate ;)

I've seen the movie over and over again the last months and there is actually many "crazy" textures and combinations throughout the ship.

It's a pitty that DN3D doesn't have all textures that I want.
For example, many small corridors have white panels with slots(?) that I can't find a replacement for.

Tile #318 would have been nice if black and with were "swapped". More like white panels with thin black lines.

Lovely view.

I've always loved that space texture with Earth. Gives off such a vast and epic sight whenever you set eyes on it, especially if you're in this big dome area with translucent windows. Reminds me of that skybox in Facing Worlds from UT99.

Nice architecture and texturing in those shots Puritan. They look very detailed without being over the top

Looks great!  (Y) I agree with Loke: I've always liked that skybox a lot.
