A MAP WITH MAPS
« on: July 06, 2009, 07:12:22 AM »
Hi All, I'm holding a little competition! I'm putting 5 lucky maps into one huge map then I'm gonna post it! And the 5 people will get a link if it get's published! So this is simple!
Post some screenshots and links of your map! And Who every gets number 1, will have the last bit of the level! but note their are some rules!
It Has to be done by SCRATCH!
You need to have at least 1 dukeplus effect in your map
You're allowed to post more then 1 map! but only one will be chosen!
Put your name or what you would wanna be called under the screenies or links! For example

It sounds like you're trying to get people to make another DPCBP, but your rules are weird.  You want to paste five different completely different maps together in one, but why?  And if someone has a map, they don't need to be "rewarded" by having it pasted together with other maps, they can just release their map.  So I don't get it.

How do you think you'll be able to put a total of -FIVE- maps into one if sometimes 1 map alone has already reached the new limits ?

The whole idea is pointless anyway.

I have had this thread open for a few hours since I really can't figure out what you want either.

I thought DP implemented a multiple map feature in Duke Plus ?
So basically, this project would turn out as an episode.

Im confused, do you want to merge 5 maps into one? (bad idea in my opinion) or create an episode?
I did it... my way.

Last screenshot is from Devastator´s map and the second one seems to be a map by Oostrum bro (probably Clear the coast?) i wonder where´s the point of it and if you are taking these maps without permission.

Sounds like you want 5 mappers to do all the hard work so you can merge their maps and take some kind of credit for it.

No, it sort of like the duke plus hub, you teleport to the lvls and start of then you open a door with a switch that's at the end and it opens and a door to the next lvls, no I'm not trying to take the credit cause the moderator would see the lvls and band me, I get them to post it if they're okay with it, the DP effect rule is an extra! if I can't paste all 5 into 1 I'll just make it 3! They can post their own but I'm just testing to see if it's possible to stick 5 or 3 maps in 1, the images are just examples they're not in! So hopefully I've answered all your questions if you got another 1 just ask. I read all the instructions and was taught by my bro...so if I wanted to create my own lvl and take credit for it i'd do it! this is testing!  :)

And now to the only worthwhile thing in this thread : which map is the first screenshot taken from ? I don't recall it, the item placement make it look like it might be a dukematch map.

The map is AASYLUMDM as it says in the top left corner of the picture.  ;D

He must of got the screen shot from here:

Guessing the screen shot is quite fun, perhaps we could have a dedicated thread for it?

Yeah I remember that project. I still have all the maps that were posted, even though I think the links are down by now. IIRC not enough people posted their stuff for it to be interesting, not many of those abandoned maps I got (regardless of how much potential they had individually) were compatible in terms of themes and style. But maybe the thread could be resurrected if more people are willing to post their old projects.
