I've already built a two story house. It's just a shell with two floors, but now I think I know what I need to do to put in windows and doors and connect the floors with stairs or ramps. I think I can do it better with a spiral stair case once I figure out how to build one (I think I know, but I'll figure it out with some experimenting). I know you can't put windows on both floors so that they can be seen at the same time because of the annoying visual bugs where walls turn invisible unless you make a fake second story floor out of sprites. Thanks for the motivation and encouragement
My sarcasm detector says you didnt read it the way i meant, i´m not being disdainful but giving you a little advice.
Talking of sprites... When doing spritework there are often times when one sprite will poke through another even if they are not touching. I noticed on some maps there does not seem to be this problem.Anybody have any tips on how to minimise this?
Make it one-sided. (the '1' / '!' key in 3D mode).
That´s not exactly a bug but the way that build renders sprites. Build uses a simple routine that draws the closer sprite (from its origin point) above any other sprite. If you make your spritework keeping that in mind, it should look ok.
Only in the specific situations does that apply. This is bug in the engine, which as far as I know is unfixable. Playing in Polymost, and I assume also in Polymer, will fix this problem.

Thanks for your tips and suggestions, I will try them out. Quote from: Captain Awesome on June 16, 2009, 02:45:09 PMOnly in the specific situations does that apply. I like the feel of the original 8bit graphics more too.
A little trick to go...Allign multiple walls at once.In 3D mode point at the first wall and hit " . " (dot)
