DeeperThought has started this thread over at AMC and 3DR..
I thought it would be appropriate to share this project with DNR visitors as well.

Duke Plus Version 1.5 Released

Changelog 1.5

- Various bug fixes. The biggest bug fixed concerned the Dukebots not targeting enemies correctly in many situations.
- Improved skin for Duke's arms holding the Cruizer Mossberg shotgun and MP5 (thanks mostly to Kaiser).
- Improved mantling and added a "FREERUNNER" option for doing multiple wall jumps.
- The TURN AROUND key will make a player glance behind if he is hanging on a ledge (mantling), instead of making him turn his body around.
- Added boxes which can be picked up, thrown, placed and stood on in order to reach high places. The larger boxes cannot be picked up, but can be pushed (hold use while pushing).
- Added killzone feature to SE of death.
- Added a decorative effect for smoke gusts blowing past.
- Added code for sprite platforms that can move back and forth along predefined routes or in circles (undocumented)

Duke Plus is being used as the base code for a couple of mods in development (Freerunner and Imperium). This means I need to split off the code to change/add stuff exclusive to the different mods. So this release may be the last release of regular Duke Plus for a long time (assuming there are no bugs that I feel are worth fixing ).

I accidentally left all the weapon options turned on in USERPLUS.CON , but you weapon purists know how to turn them off, right?

It was nice of you to start a thread here, but keep in mind that DNR already has Duke Plus in the downloads section and that the text you posted is quite outdated -- in fact I wrote that before the first release!  The most recent version is 1.5, which I uploaded yesterday.

Sorry if I mess things up.
I'm aware of the downloadsection here. But I thought it would be nice to have the author himself posting every now and then about the progress and such.

If you want to edit your post, you could change it to the post I wrote for the 1.5 release, which is on 3DR.

Well considering the "Code" problems that AMC is having... I guess this is where the AMC community will be until it gets fixed.

Duke Plus 1.7 is coming soon. The player will be able to grab/carry/throw almost any object which looks like it could be picked up. A gravity gun will be an optional replacement for the expander. And there will be bug fixes, optimizations, and new map effects.

Yes and yes.

The working title of the map is "Fucking Gnome" (don't ask me why) but now that you mention it, I kind of like the sound of "Fucking Genome".  It has a nice sci-fi ring to it, but it's got that fuck part for a bit of edgyness.  As an added bonus, neither title has any relation to the actual map.  Er wait, that's not quite true.

I was starting to feel bad about derailing Gambini's thread and then I realized it's my own thread.  (Y)

The gravity gun and grabbable items are the last big features from my now deceased Duke Ex, which have been ported to DP and improved.  Duke Ex lives on in Duke Plus!  There's still a few other smaller features that I may add later.

And how exactly is this actor made after me? All it has is my nick in the con code.
I can easly do that in my Stargate mod and just use "DEEPERTHOUGHT"
